"What if they're defective? What if they don't work?"<br />I'm surprised 90% was "underwhelming," but I think it's because all the hype doesn't really prepare you for the fact that, for all but the path of totality, night doesn't fall in the midst of the day.JeffOhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07947660745120963286noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8281000668036619727.post-50087379477499354562017-09-01T07:53:35.862-04:002017-09-01T07:53:35.862-04:00Our area was 90% and it was underwhelming. My work is attached to the library and there were tons of families on the ground because the library had given away lots of the glasses. Younger kids were running around playing, seemingly without a care while parents and older kids watched the suns. I wondered that more of the younger ones didn't freak out their parents since they didn't have glasses.Donna K. Regrettably, I did not have a colander at work. I look forward to your pictures, Stacy!JeffOhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07947660745120963286noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8281000668036619727.post-39338952790925295692017-08-28T22:55:02.198-04:002017-08-28T22:55:02.198-04:00We were are 90% and I didn't think it got all ...We were are 90% and I didn't think it got all that dim outside. I did get some interesting pictures of the shadows my colander made. I'll have to post them when I get back to blogging--after Dragon Con. <br /><br />But tonight I noticed it was dark out side at 8:50. Not twilight, DARK. Yeah, summer is almost over. :(Stacy McKitrickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07898731847653710759noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8281000668036619727.post-74678696974941364712017-08-28T20:01:46.567-04:002017-08-28T20:01:46.567-04:00We were only at 70% for the eclipse so no one got ...We were only at 70% for the eclipse so no one got really excited about it. the light was eerie and dim for about an hour but not much else :)<br />Glad to see the chestnut growing!
