"I’ve been marrie...I freaking love this post.

"I’ve been married long enough to know that the correct answer to this question is “yes”, but I also know that, as The One Who Gets Up First the only logical answer was “no.” There was a time when I would have stayed up, but she had it covered. I went back to bed."

Holy true and hilarious. I love it.

You write even better sleep-deprived. I used to work 3 p.m. to 7 a.m. the next morning and yes, it can really screw with your body but you do get used to it after awhile. I agree though that Sleep, Interrupted is much, much worse than no sleep at all.

Also, I'm only in the next step of the process from you but so far, querying was the hardest. It is a lot of work and exhausting. I gave myself a weekly goal of 5 queries a week cause that was manageable what with each agent's individual requirements.

Oh and the synopsis is the devil. Truly. But try to get it to one page because that's what publishers want to see.Lisa Reganhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12899014095250160853noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8281000668036619727.post-25991859750199236492012-03-24T11:56:41.312-04:002012-03-24T11:56:41.312-04:00I'm fighting--I mean, writing--my synopsis, to...I'm fighting--I mean, writing--my synopsis, too. She'll probably sleep 'til noon today, though.

Jean - does it get easier? I hope so! I got it to about 5 pages. Now I need to see if I can squeeze it to a single. It's fitting all that good stuff like voice, characters, motivations, storyline, ending, into one little bundle that makes sense and is a 'good' read. At the I can use the query (a little expanded) as the back book cover if I decide to self-publish. The synopsis, while a good exercise, isn't exactly something useful except in this one part.Donna K. I actually felt that way this morning because I stayed up until 3am to finish rereading The Hunger Games.
